TempTask User Guide

We’ve put together a brief User Guide for TempTask to help you through how we work and how to get the best out of our web application.

If you need assistance at any point, our guide should help you through.

Registration

It’s quick and easy to register with TempTask.

From our homepage, select whether you wish to register as a Customer or a Construction Planner

Your chosen selection will display the correct registration form, appropriate to your situation.

Customer Registration

Tell us about yourself.

Complete our quick and easy online registration form and let us know your company profile details.

The information provided will enable us to match experienced, qualified and capable Construction Planners to your Task requirements.

Selecting your appropriate company status from the drop down box will automatically adjust the registration form to suit your company type selection, and give us the information that we need.

Add in your company logo if you want to.  This will enable your chosen Construction Planner to use your logo to brand any Task undertaken on your behalf to your company specific details.

Tell us about the industry sectors that you operate in.  Simply select the tick box next to the sectors in which you operate and this will enable us to match experienced Construction Planners to your needs.

Tell us your correspondence details by completing the fields on the form, just in case we need to get in touch.

Provide your contact details.  These will be used to log in to use our web application.  Let us know how you heard about us, so we can keep track of how our marketing is working.

The final step in registration is to accept our terms and conditions.  You can print these if you like, but we also email a copy to you confirming your registration.

Construction Planner Registration

Tell us about yourself.

Complete our quick and easy online registration form and let us know your personal details and company status.  The information provided will enable us to match your experience, qualifications and capability to Customers’ Task requirements.

Tell us the industry sectors in which you are experienced and able to offer Construction Planning services, selecting the tick boxes next to each sector that applies to you.

Tell us your length of service as a Construction Planner, selecting the appropriate category from the drop down box.  Choose from 3-5 years, 5-10 years or 10+ years’ experience.

Tell us your qualifications and software capability, simply ticking the boxes that apply next to the qualifications that you have gained and the software packages that you are proficient in.  If you hold any qualifications not listed, or are experienced in any additional software packages, please tell us about them in the ‘Other box’.

Tell us about your capabilities, simply selecting all the tick boxes that apply to tasks that you are capable of carrying out.  If there are any capabilities not listed in our standard capabilities, please let us know by telling us about them in the ‘other’ boxes.

Tell us the locations that you are available to undertake Tasks, your working time availability, and your availability to undertake on-site duties at client premises.

Complete your profile by selling yourself and your services in a few words.

Provide your contact details.  These will be used to log in to use our web application.  Let us know how you heard about us, so we can keep track of how our marketing is working.

The final step in registration is to accept our terms and conditions.  You can print these if you like, but don’t worry, we email a copy to you confirming your registration.

Your TempTask Dashboard

Once your registration is confirmed and verified, your TempTask Dashboard is at the heart of TempTask.

From your dashboard you can easily see the status of any task that you are either requesting, tendering or delivering.

Customers Dashboard

From your customer dashboard it is easy to manage your profile, change your password and log in details, request new tasks and see the status of task currently in progress.

Active Tasks

Your active tasks are detailed, colour coded according to status.  Purple tasks have been accepted and require payment before they can continue.  Black tasks are in progress.  Orange tasks that have been notified as complete by your Construction Planner, but are rejected by you, requiring further work to be undertaken.  Red tasks have been raised through our Dispute Review service and are being independently reviewed.

Manage New Tasks

Clicking the ‘Start New Task’ button will commence the process of raising a new task on TempTask.  Tasks can be saved at any point until you are ready to commence, and they will be listed in your Unsent Tasks until you are ready to proceed.

Pending Tasks

All tasks that you have raised and are awaiting bids from our selected tender panel of registered Construction Planners are detailed here.  Clicking the view icon next to any task displays the full detail to the task. 

Projects with Pending Tenders

All tasks that have been raised and tenders have been received from our panel of registered Construction Planners are detailed here.

Clicking the view icon next to any task displays the full schedule of submitted tenders to select from, ranked by price, experience and our own TempTask rating of each registered Construction Planner submitting their tender.

All prices quoted are inclusive of TempTask commissions, and separately detail VAT for your information.

Completed Tasks

All tasks that have been satisfactorily completed are detailed here and stored for as long as you require.  Clicking the view icon next to any task displays the full detail to the task. 

Construction Planners Dashboard

From your Construction Planner dashboard it is easy to manage your profile, change your password and log in details and see the status of task currently in progress. 

Your subscription renewal date is shown, and you can easily pay your annual subscription fees through our ecommerce facilities.

Tasks Awaiting Tenders

All tasks that you have been matched to and requested to submit a tender are detailed here. Clicking the view icon next to any task displays allows you to view information supplied by customers requesting tasks, and to submit your tender quotation, associated narrative and your own Terms and Conditions to contract directly with the Customer.

Submitted Tenders

All Tasks that you have submitted tenders for and that are currently waiting to be approved or rejected by clients are detailed here.  Clicking the view icon next to any task displays the full detail to the task.

Active Tasks

Your active tasks and successful tenders are detailed, colour coded according to status.  Purple tasks have been accepted and require Customer payment before they can continue.  Black tasks are in progress.  Orange tasks that have been notified as complete to your Customer, but have rejected, with the customer requiring further work to be undertaken.  Red tasks have been raised through our  Dispute Review service and are being independently reviewed.

Rejected Tenders

To assist in your future pricing, we detail all tenders that you were unsuccessful on, in comparison with the winning tender submission.

Requesting A New Task

Once registered, it’s easy to request your next Task with TempTask.

First, log in to your TempTask account with your supplied email and password to display your TempTask Dashboard.

To Start a new task, simply click the ‘Start New Task’ button.

Tell us about the task that you require by completing our quick and easy online form.  The information that you provide will enable us to match your Task requirements with a registered Construction Planner with the experience, skill and capability to deliver your Task.

Select the task that you require from the TempTask standard task list.  TempTask is designed for single tasks only.  If you need more than one task undertaken, simply raise a separate task request.  If the task that you require isn’t listed on our standard tasks, please tell us what you require in the ‘other’ field and we will attempt to find a Construction Planner who can fulfil your requirements.

Give a brief narrative on your task requirements to give any details that you feel may be relevant to those tendering to carry out the task.  In addition, upload any files that will be relevant to ensure tenderers for your task provide robust and firm quotations.

To complete your task request, select the procurement route that best suits.

Tendered – TempTask will review the requirements of your task and match against our registered Construction Planner resource bank.  We will request tenders for your task from our panel of matched Construction Planners.

Specific Construction Planner – You will specifically request the Construction Planner who you wish to provide a quotation for your task.  You can select from those who have previously carried out tasks on your behalf and enable repeat tasks, or select a Construction Planner based upon their TempTask unique reference number.

You can save your task at any point and return to it at a later, if required.

Tendering for A Task

If you are a Construction Planner successfully selected to provide a tender for a Task you will be notified by email and via your TempTask Dashboard.

Submitting your tender is simple.

Review the Task requirements provided by the Customer and provide your VAT exclusive quotation, along with any comments that you wish to highlight to the customer.  TempTask commission will automatically be added to your quotation when it is provided to the customer.

You will be contracting directly with the Customer, so will need to add your Terms and Conditions for delivering the task.  If you don’t have your own Terms, don’t worry, we provide a template to assist you.

Accepting a Tender

You can log in to your TempTask Dashboard at any time and review tenders that have been submitted for each Task that you have raised.

At the date that you have chosen for tenders to be submitted, you can review all tender quotations that have been submitted by matched Construction Planners, along with any comments that they have provided to accompany their tender and their own Terms and Conditions.

A schedule is provided of all tenders received ranked by quotation (including TempTask commissions), experience and the TempTask rating of the Construction Planner based on previous tasks carried out.

You accept the tender that best suits, based on whatever factor is important to you – price, experience or rating, and directly contract with your chosen Construction Planner.

Once you have chosen your Construction Planner to deliver your task, you pay for that task in order to commence.  Payments are held by TempTask in our holding account and only released to your Construction Planner upon notification of satisfactory completion.

Upon acceptance of the chosen Construction Planners Terms and Conditions and payment has been made, you manage your task via TempTask Message.  Here you communicate in realtime with your Construction Planner via our messaging facilities and share files necessary to complete a task.

Variations to a Task

Sometimes a task will change whilst being carried out.  You may want additional work carried out, or additional information may become apparent essential in delivering a task.

We provide the facility to manage task variations.

If a variation occurs, your chosen Construction Planner will notify you of the variation and provide a quotation for the additional work required.

Once accepted and paid for, the additional work will be incorporated into your task.  Again, for your peace of mind, all payments are held by TempTask in our holding account and only released to your Construction Planner upon notification of satisfactory completion of your Task.

Completing a Task

Your chosen Construction Planner will notify you when they have completed a task via TempTask Message.

If you are satisfied that the task has been completed, simply notify us of satisfactory completion via TempTask Message and we release payment to your chosen Construction Planner within 7 days.

If you feel further work is required to complete a task, simply request that your chosen Construction Planner undertakes further work to complete the task.

Your feedback on the service provided is essential in ensuring that only skilled, competent and capable Construction Planners are provided by TempTask, and we ask you to rate the performance of your Construction Planner from 1 to 5 stars and provide a brief commentary on your experience.

Dispute Review Service

Sometimes things go wrong, but TempTask is here to help. If you are unhappy with the quality of service, or of the deliverables provided by your chosen Construction Planner, we are here to help.

We offer a Dispute Review service, for which a charge of £300.00 plus VAT is applicable, shared equally between the Customer and selected Construction Planner.

On raising a request for Dispute Review, and receipt of contributory payment from both parties, TempTask will undertake an independent review of the task undertaken and provide an independent opinion in an attempt to resolve the dispute.
